Pintail Solar Farm seeks North Carolina okay for 5-MW project

Pintail Solar Farm LLC applied Sept. 1 at the North Carolina Utilities Commission Application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for a 5-MW (ac) project to be located at the end of Pintail Drive, 0.23 miles north/northeast of the intersection of Pintail Dr. and S. King St. at Windsor in Bertie County.

The project is due on-line as of Sept. 1, 2017. The applicant plans to sell the output of this $7.8 million project to Dominion North Carolina Power. The projected annual sales are 9,750,000 kilowatt-hours.
