Pacific Gas and Electric files engineering deals for two SunPower solar projects

Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Sept. 7 two Engineering and Procurement (E&P) Agreements with SunPower DevCo LLC covering two solar projects with a combined size of 130 MW.

SunPower is planning photovoltaic projects in Lost Hills, Kern County, California, and has requested generation interconnection services for Alamo Springs Solar 1 and Alamo Springs Solar 2. The E&P Agreements will enable SunPower to engage PG&E in providing engineering and procurement services prior to the execution of the pro forma Large Generator Interconnection Agreements (LGIAs).

The two projects will share a common gen-tie line. Alamo 1 is 80 MW in size, while Alamo 2 is 50 MW.

A project contact is: Alan Comnes, SunPower DevCo LLC, 1331 NW Lovejoy #700, Portland, OR 97209.
