South Ridge Solar LLC filed an Aug. 30 notice with the Nevada Public Utilities Commission offering a heads-up on its impending application with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management for a 200-MW (net) project and an attendant 230-kV transmission line in mostly Nye County, with a small area in neighboring Clark County.
The transmission line would interconnect with the Valley Electric Association‘s Innovation Substation. The company said it would file with the Nevada commission for approval of this photovoltaic project within 30 days of a BLM approval of the agency’s environmental review for the project. The project area comes to 2,250 acres.
