CenterPoint works out interconnect for gas-fired NET Power project

CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric LLC on Sept. 7 filed with the Texas Public Utility Commission an ERCOT Standard Generation Interconnection Agreement, effective Sept. 1, with NET Power LLC, which is developing a gas-fired power project.

The project, located in Harris County, has a scheduled commercial operation date of around June 15, 2017.

The plant will have one generator with a total net summer rating of 25.5 MVA with 15.8 MW of load, and a total net rating of about 11 MVA. It will consist of a Toshiba natural gas-fired combustion turbine. The project will interconnect at the MIRAGE Substation.
