QF notice filed for 15-MW MDU Resources solar project in Nevada

Nevada Valley Solar Solutions II LLC filed on Aug. 22 at the Nevada Public Utilities Commission a copy of a QF notice that it has filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for a 15-MW (ac) project that is expected to begin on operation on Sept. 28 of this year.

This is called the Valley Electric Association Community Solar Project, to be located at 2371 East Simkins Road at Pahrump in Nye County. The project will interconnect with the Valley Electric Association system, with the association to take the project’s power. The project company is owned by MDU Resources Group.

The project size is 15-MW net (ac) and 17.5 MW (dc). Filed with the Nevada commission was a copy of the project’s FERC Form 556.
