The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Aug. 31 accepted a July 15 application from Antelope DSR 1 LLC for market-based rate authority for its 50-MW (ac) solar project in California.
Said the letter: “You state that Antelope DSR will own and operate a 50 megawatt (MW) electric generating facility located in Lancaster, Los Angeles County, California, within the CAISO market. You add that Antelope DSR is wholly owned by sPower FinCo 5 LLC, and is affiliated with several entities that own generation facilities in the CAISO and Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District (SRP) markets.”
The company said in the application that it expects the Antelope DSR 1 Project to begin generating test power in October 2016 and to reach commercial operation in November 2016. Antelope DSR 1 is committed to sell the entire output from the project under a 20-year power purchase agreement with the Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA). The Antelope DSR 1 Project will interconnect with the CAISO-controlled grid at the Antelope Substation.
This project company is part of FTP Power LLC.
