Headwaters affiliate seeks approval for 5-MW Ray Wilson Solar project

The Ray Wilson Solar LLC affiliate of Headwaters Solar on Aug. 16 applied with the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity on a 5-MW (ac) project to be located at 200 Potts Rd at Advance in Davie County, approximately 0.10 miles north of the intersection of Potts Road and route 801.

The projected date is Sept. 1, 2017, for the facility to come on-line. The applicant plans to sell the output of this $7.8 million project to Duke Energy Carolinas
