Approval sought for 5-MW Pitt County Solar project in North Carolina

Pitt County Solar LLC applied Aug. 18 at the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for a 5-MW (ac) facility that will be located at 4906 NC 121, Farmville, Pitt County.

The projected on-line date is Sept. 1, 2017. The applicant’s general plan is to sell the ouptut to Duke Energy Progress. The projected annual sales of this $7.8 million project are 9,750,000 kilowatt-hours.
