TVA Watts Bar 2 ramps up to 67% power

Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) data listed the Watts Bar 2 nuclear unit at 67% power generation early July 25, which appears to be the be the highest output since TVA synched it to the grid in June.

Watts Bar 2 was officially synched to the grid on June 3. Since then, the facility has been undergoing final testing, producing electricity at incremental levels of power.

The new reactor is designed to add 1,150 MW of electricity generating capacity to southeastern Tennessee.
