Ohio EPA issues permit for landfill-gas-fired power plant

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency on July 14 issued a final air permit-to-install to Electric of Lake County LLC for a landfill-gas-fired power plant in Lake County, Ohio.

This permit covers an initial installation for two 18.4 MMBtu/hr Caterpillar reciprocating internal combustion engines powered by landfill gas. The engines are stationary spark ignition (SI), lean burn, internal combustion engines (ICE). They are the Caterpillar G3520C model.
