Headwaters Solar affiliate seeks okay for 5-MW Vintage Solar 2 project in N.C.

Vintage Solar 2 LLC applied July 28 at the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity on a 5-MW (ac) project.

The facility will be located off of Vintage Road in Lilesville, Anson County, on the south side of Vintage Road, approximately 375 feet west of the intersection of Vintage Rd and Clark Mountain Rd. Vintage Rd is also known as Route 1730.

The facility is expected to come on-line on Sept. 1, 2017. The applicant’s plan is to sell all output to Duke Energy Progress. The expected cost of the facility $7.8 million.
