98-MW Oliver Wind III project due in commercial ops around Dec. 1 of this year

The Midcontinent Independent System Operator on July 11 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission a Facilities Construction Agreement (FCA) with Oliver Wind III LLC and an interconnecting transmission owner, Great River Energy.

MISO has designated this project as Project No. C023 in its interconnection queue. Oliver Wind III intends to own, and operate, or manage Interconnection facilities relating to its 98-MW wind project located in Morton and Oliver counties, North Dakota. The project has an expected commercial operation date of Dec. 1, 2016. It will interconnect to the transmission system of Minnkota Power Cooperative.

Oliver Wind III, a unit of NextEra Energy Resources, on April 8 filed a notice of self-certification as an exempt wholesale generator with FERC. Oliver Wind III is a wholly-owned direct subsidiary of ESI Energy LLC, which in turn is a wholly-owned direct subsidiary NextEra Energy Resources, which is part of of NextEra Energy (NYSE: NEE).
