Maryland PSC nears approval for 18-MW Dan’s Mountain Solar project

A Public Utility Law Judge at the Maryland Public Service Commission on June 8 issued a proposed approval for the 18.36-MW (ac) Dan’s Mountain Solar LLC project in Allegany County.

This proposed order would become a final order of the commission on July 9 if no party contests it by then.

The company, made up of individual investors, applied in October 2015 for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for this project. The project site is at 15411 Castleford Lane in Allegany County. The project would be made up of fixed-tilt solar panels.

A new substation would be built on the site to help interconnect the project to the Potomac Edison system.
