FLS seeks approval for 5-MW Saxapahaw Solar project in North Carolina

The Saxapahaw Solar LLC affiliate of FLS Energy on June 24 applied to the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity authorizing construction of a 4.999-MW (ac) solar facility to be located in Alamance County.

The site address is 5870 S. NC 87 Hwy, Graham, N.C. The projected date for the facility to come on-line is Aug. 30, 2017. All electricity will be sold to Duke Energy. The projected annual sales are 9,800,000 (ac) kWh.
