FLS Energy seeks certificate for 5-MW Osceola Solar project in North Carolina

Osceola Solar LLC, an affiliate of FLS Energy, applied June 10 to the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity authorizing construction of a 4.999 MW (ac) solar facility to be located in Alamance County.

The site’s street address is 3935 Osceola Road, Elon, N.C. The projected date for the facility to come on-line is Sept. 1, 2017. All electricity will be sold to Duke Energy. The projected annual sales are 9,800,000 (ac) kWh.
