Cypress Creek’s Hanover Solar seeks North Carolina okay for 5-MW project

The Hanover Solar LLC affiliate of Cypress Creek Renewables on June 20 applied to the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity on a 5-MW (ac) project.

The generating facility will be located off of Hampshire Lane, east of Belgrade-Swansboro Road, and approximately 0.55 miles north of the intersection of Tierce Lane and Pattie Lane. That is in Maysville in Onslow County, North Carolina.

The facility will be comprised of approximately twenty-two thousand two hundred thirty (22,230) 315Wp panels (or equivalent) attached to ground-mounted racks. It will utilize approximately three 1850kVA inverters (or equivalent).

The facility is projected to come on-line on Aug. 1, 2017. The facility owner plans to sell the electricity to Duke Energy Progress under a power purchase agreement. The projected annual sales of the $9.45 million facility are expected to be approximately 10,500,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh).
