Unseasonably cold predicted for Central and East

A strong cold front will bring chilly air to the central and eastern U.S. to begin the workweek, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are forecast to be 10 to 25 degrees below average across a large area of the plains, Midwest, Great Lakes, and Ohio valley. Freeze Warnings are in effect for parts of the Midwest and Great Lakes.
