Related companies seek North Carolina nods for 4.99-MW solar projects

HORUS North Carolina 4 LLC and HORUS North Carolina 8 LLC each applied May 6 to the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity authorizing construction of 4.99-MW (ac) solar projects.

  • The HORUS North Carolina 4 facility will be located on the west side of Main Street just north of the intersection with Barry Street in Tabor City, Columbus County, North Carolina. The facility is projected to come online in April 2017. Electricity generated by the facility will be sold to Duke Energy Progress under a power purchase agreement.
  • The HORUS North Carolina 8 facility will be located on the west side of Richlands HWY at the intersection with Hines Farm Rd. in Jacksonville, Onslow County, North Carolina. The facility is projected to come online in April 2017. Electricity generated will be sold to Duke Energy Progress under a power purchase agreement.
