PJM terminates wholesale deal for 2.6-MW Pattenburg Quarry Solar project

PJM Interconnection on May 31 notified the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission of the cancellation of an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement from 2014 with Pattenburg Quarry Industries LLC and interconnecting transmission owner Jersey Central Power & Light.

“The Pattenburg WMPA is being cancelled because Pattenburg has decided not to move forward with its project and will not participate in PJM’s markets,” said the notice.

This project had PJM Queue Position #W4-031. It’s called Pattenburg Quarry Solar Farm, sited at 455 County Road 614, Union, New Jersey. Maximum Facility Output is 2.6 MW. It was to be made up of solar photovoltaic panels connected to 1 MW inverters through 480 V-12 kV step up transformers.
