PJM lodges wholesale deal for nearly 8-MW solar project in New Jersey

PJM Interconnection on May 13 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement with Community Energy Renewables LLC and interconnecting transmission owner Atlantic City Electric.

Said the filing: “PJM is submitting this Agreement for filing because the Wholesale Market Participant intends to engage in wholesale sales in the PJM markets from a generating facility connected to the Transmission Owner’s distribution facilities.”

The project is under PJM Queue Position #W4-027. It is called the Minotola 2 Solar Facility, to be located on Vine Road, Buena Vista Twp., Atlantic County, New Jersey. Maximum Facility Output is 7.9 MW. It is a ground mounted, inverter based, solar photovoltaic facility consisting of solar arrays and a 12 kV high side collector system.

On or before June 1, 2018, Community Energy must demonstrate commercial operation of all generating units.
