PJM files wholesale deal for Kellogg fuel cell project in New Jersey

PJM Interconnection on May 13 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement with Kellogg Co. and interconnecting transmission owner Atlantic City Electric.

“PJM is submitting this Agreement for filing because the Wholesale Market Participant intends to engage in wholesale sales in the PJM markets from a generating facility connected to the Transmission Owner’s distribution facilities,” said the filing.

The project is under PJM Queue Position #AB1-116. It is called the Kellogg NJ project, to be located at 322 S Egg Harbor Road, Blue Anchor, New Jersey. Maximum Facility Output is 0.787 MW. It is a natural gas-fired fuel cell facility consisting of fuel cells and a 480/12 kV step-up transformer.

On or before Sept. 1, 2016, Kelllogg must demonstrate commercial operation of all generating units.
