PJM ends wholesale deal for 12-MW Community Energy Solar project in N.J.

PJM Interconnection on May 9 notified the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission of the cancellation of an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement with Community Energy Solar LLC and interconnecting transmission owner Jersey Central Power & Light.

Said PJM: “The WMPA is being cancelled because three-year suspension period expired and the Wholesale Market Participant has decided not to move forward with its interconnection project and will not participate in PJM’s markets.”

The WMPA covered the 12-MW Monmouth West Solar I project, to have been located on Jonathan Holmes Road in Upper Freehold, New Jersey. It was to have consisted of photovoltaic DC solar panels connected to DC to AC inverters, connected to step-up 34.5kV high-side transformers. It was undee PJM Queue Position #W3-159.
