FTP Power companies file EWG notices for California solar projects

Three affiliates of FTP Power LLC on May 3 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission notices of Self-certification as an Exempt Wholesale Generator related to companion solar projects in California.

  • Beacon Solar 1 LLC owns and will operate a 56 MW (ac) solar photovoltaic facility under development in Kern County, California. The facility will interconnect with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) system. The project has an executed power purchase agreement with LADWP for all of the facility’s output. The facility is expected to begin generating test energy in December 2016.
  • Beacon Solar 3 LLC owns and will operate a 56 MW (ac) solar photovoltaic facility under development in Kern County. It will interconnect with the LADWP system. The facility has an executed power purchase agreement with the LADWP for all of its output. The facility is expected to begin generating test energy in November 2016.
  • Beacon Solar 4 LLC owns and will operate a 50 MW (ac) solar photovoltaic facility under development in Kern County. It will interconnect with the LADWP system and has an executed power purchase agreement with LADWP for all of its output. The facility is expected to begin generating test energy in September 2016.
