FLS Energy seeks approval for 5-MW Country Club Solar project

Country Club Solar LLC, an affiliate of FLS Energy, applied May 27 to the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity authorizing construction of a 4.999-MW (ac) solar facility to be located in Currituck County.

The facility is projected to be placed into service as of Aug. 20, 2017. The solar project address is 170 Country Club Road, Wallace, N.C. The company plans to sell the power output to Duke Energy.
