PJM ends wholesale deal for 12-MW Oxford Solar 2 project in New Jersey

PJM Interconnection on April 28 notified the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission of the cancellation of an April 2012 Wholesale Market Participation Agreement entered into among PJM, Oxford Solar 2 LLC and interconnecting transmission owner Jersey Central Power & Light.

Wrote PJM: “The Oxford Solar WMPA is being cancelled because project milestones in the Oxford Solar WMPA were breached and not cured, resulting in the default of the Oxford Solar WMPA.”

This agreement covered the 12-MW Quarry Road Solar Farm project, to be located on Quarry Road, Oxford, New Jersey. It was to be a ground-mounted, inverter-based, solar photovoltaic facility consisting of solar arrays and a 34 kV collector system.’
