Panoche Energy natural gas plant experiences unplanned outage

The Panoche Energy Center LLC natural gas power plant in Fresno County, California, has experienced an unplanned outage, according to an infrastructure update from the Department of Energy (DOE).

Citing California ISO (Cal ISO) data, DOE said that the Apex Power Group’s 400-MW Panoche gas plant entered an unplanned outage on April 4. No further information was immediately available.

Apex Power Group brought the Panoche power plant into commercial operation in 2009.
