FLS Energy pursues North Carolina okay for 5-MW Eastway Solar project

Eastway Solar LLC, an affiliate of FLS Energy, applied April 28 to the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity authorizing construction of a 4.999-MW (ac) solar facility to be located in Bladen County.

The E911 street address for the site is 204 Eastway Avenue, Elizabethtown, N.C. This is a solar photovoltaic site producing electricity from the sun using solar panels and inverters.

The projected date for the facility to come on line is June 28, 2017. All electricity is to be sold to Duke Energy Progress
