A System Impact Study, dated March 2016, has been prepared on a 100-MW solar project of CERSM LLC, which would interconnect into the Virginia Electric and Power Co. (VEPCO) system.
PJM Interconnection said in the study that CESRM has proposed a solar generating facility located at Boykins in Southampton County,V a. The installed facilities will have a total capability of 100 MW with 38 MW of this output being recognized by PJM as capacity.
The proposed in-service date for this project is Sept. 5, 2016. This study does not imply a VEPCO commitment to this in-service date.
The project, under PJM queue #AA2-088, will interconnect with the VEPCO transmission system via a new three breaker ring bus switching station that connects on the Boykins–Handsome DP 115-kV line.
The intent of this System Impact Study is to determine a plan, with approximate cost and construction time estimates, to connect the subject generation interconnection project to the PJM network at a location specified by the project developer.
