Blythe Solar II files for EWG status for 131-MW project

Blythe Solar II LLC filed on April 25 with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission a notice of self-certification of its status as an exempt wholesale generator.

The company is a wholly-owned direct subsidiary of Blythe Solar Holdings LLC, which in turn is a wholly-owned direct subsidiary ESI Energy LLC, which in turn is a wholly-owned direct subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources LLC. NextEra Resources is part of NextEra Energy (NYSE: NEE).

Blythe Solar II will own and operate a photovoltaic generating facility with 131.2 MW aggregate nameplate capacity located in Riverside County, California. The facility will operate within the California Independent System Operator balancing authority area, and interconnect with Southern California Edison.
