Severe storms, flash flooding possible in South, Central states

A storm system will move across the Central and Southern Plains and portions of the Mississippi River Valley through Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Severe thunderstorms producing hail, damaging winds and some tornadoes will be possible. Heavy rain may produce flash flooding in some areas. This system will also produce snow over portions of the Upper Great Lakes and Central Rockies.
