20-MW Antelope Big Sky Ranch solar project due in operation in June

Antelope Big Sky Ranch LLC on March 22 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission a notice of self-certification as an Exempt Wholesale Generator related to a 20-MW (ac) solar photovoltaic facility under development in Lancaster, Los Angeles County, California.

The facility will interconnect with the Southern California Edison system at the Antelope Substation within the California Independent System Operator balancing authority area. The facility has an executed power purchase agreement with the Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA) under which the applicant will sell all output to SCPPA.

Applicant will own and operate the facility and sell all of its output exclusively at wholesale. The project is expected to begin generating test energy in June 2016. Applicant is a wholly-owned subsidiary of FTP Power LLC.
