Storm system to pull away from the Northeast

The intense low pressure system that brought heavy rain and severe weather to much of the eastern U.S., and heavy snow to parts of the Midwest, will continue to move northward into Quebec.

Any remaining snow over the Great Lakes, New England, and portions of the Appalachians will come to an end by Friday. High pressure will build into the eastern U.S with warming temperatures for the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
