80-MW Enterprise Solar project in Utah due in commercial operation in July

Enterprise Solar LLC on Feb. 1 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission a notice of self-certification that it is an exempt wholesale generator.

Enterprise Solar is wholly owned by Four Brothers Solar LLC, with 100% of Class A membership interest in Four Brothers Solar owned by Four Brothers Holdings LLC, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of SunEdison Inc. One hundred percent of the Class B membership interest in Four Brother Solar is owned by Dominion Solar Projects III Inc., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Dominion Resources (NYSE: D).

Enterprise Solar is constructing and will own an 80-MW (nameplate) solar facility to be located near the Town of Newcastle, Iron County, Utah. Enterprise Solar will sell electric capacity and energy produced at the facility at wholesale under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement with PacifiCorp d/b/a Rocky Mountain Power. Enterprise Solar anticipates that the facility will begin commercial operations in July 2016.

The facility will consist of approximately 340,000 solar photovoltaic panels and interconnection facilities necessary to connect it to transmission facilities owned by PacifiCorp, including a 138-kV generation tie-line approximately 500 feet in length, 40 pad-mounted 34.5 kV/800 volt (V) step-up transformers, a 34.5 kV collector system, a 138 kV circuit breaker, and a 34.5 to 138 kV substation, including a 34.5 to 138 kV transformer.
