Several affiliated companies on Jan. 28 filed a market power update with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission saying that they are affiliated with two solar projects that went into commercial operation in December 2015.

The companies making the filing were Sandstone Solar LLC, Eden Solar LLC, 65HK 8me LLC (for the “Hayworth” project), 67RK 8me LLC (“Redcrest” project), 87RL 8me LLC (“Woodmere” project), Latigo Wind Park LLC, Sierra Solar Greenworks LLC and Western Antelope Blue Sky Ranch A LLC. They submitted this notice of change in status to report their affiliation with:

  • Adera Solar LLC, which owns a solar photovoltaic (PV) project with a nameplate capacity rating of about 19.8 MW (ac) located in Madera County, California. The Adera Solar Project is located within the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) balancing authority area in the Southwest region. The Adera Solar Project achieved commercial operation on Dec. 21, 2015, and is self-certified as a qualifying small power production facility (QF). Adera is committed to sell the entire output from the Adera Solar Project under a 20-year power purchase agreement with Southern California Edison; and
  • Citizen Solar B LLC, which owns a solar PV project with a nameplate capacity rating of approximately 5 MW (ac) located in Fresno County, California. The Citizen Solar B Project is also located within the CAISO balancing authority area. The Citizen Solar B Project achieved commercial operation on Dec. 7, 2015, and is self-certified as a QF. Citizen Solar B is committed to sell the entire output from the Citizen Solar B Project under a 20-year power purchase agreement with Southern California Edison.

A list of these affiliated companies attached to the Jan. 28 update shows these project companies with recent or upcoming in-service dates:

  • Summer Solar LLC, Summer Solar project, owned by Sustainable Power Group, located in the CAISO region, due to be in-service in June 2016, 20 MW;
  • Sandstone Solar LLC, Sandstone project, owned by WFS Solar Holdings 1 LLC, located in Salt River Project region, in-service on Dec. 30, 2015, 45 MW;
  • Eden Solar LLC, Eden Solar project, owned by FTS Eden Managing Member LLC, located in Duke Energy Progress region, in-service on Dec. 21, 2015, 47.7 MW;
  • 65HK 8me LLC, Hayworth project, owned by SPW Solar Holdings 2 LLC, located in CAISO, in-service on Dec. 22, 2015, 27 MW;
  • 67RK 8me LLC, Redcrest project, owned by SPW Solar Holdings 2 LLC, located in CAISO, in-service on Oct. 30, 2015, 16.7 MW;
  • 87RL 8me LLC, Woodmere project, owned by SPW Solar Holdings 2 LLC, located in CAISO, in-service on Dec. 23, 2015, 15 MW;
  • Central Antelope Dry Ranch C LLC, CADRC project, owned by Central Antelope Dry Ranch C LLC, located in CAISO, in-service in February 2016, 20 MW; and
  • Latigo Wind Park LLC, Latigo Wind Park project, owned by Sustainable Power Group, located in PacifiCorp region, in-service in January 2016, 62.1 MW.
