PJM works out interconnect for 16-MW, wood-fired project in Pennsylvania

PJM Interconnection on Jan. 6 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed Interconnection Service Agreement with Viking Energy of Northumberland and interconnecting transmission owner PPL Electric Utilities.

The Viking ISA facilitates the interconnection of the Northumberland Wood Fired Power Plant, a generating facility located in Northumberland, Pennsylvania, with a Maximum Facility Output of 16 MW. Under the ISA, on or before Sept. 30, 2016, Viking must demonstrate commercial operation of all generating units.

This project is under PJM queue position #AA1-057. The project location is 909 Cannery Street, Northumberland, PA 17857.
