PJM terminates wholesale deal for 10-MW solar project in Illinois

PJM Interconnection on Jan. 4 notified the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission of the cancellation of an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement from 2012 that had been entered into among PJM, Acciona Solar Energy LLC and interconnecting transmission owner Commonwealth Edison.

“The Acciona Solar WMPA is being cancelled because Acciona Solar has decided not to move forward with its project and will not participate in PJM’s markets,” said the notice.

The agreement had covered the Lincoln Solar project, to have been located in Will County, Illinois. The Maximum Facility Output was to be 10 MW. It was a solar photovoltaic facility. On or before Dec. 31, 2016, the developer was to demonstrate commercial operation of all generating units.

Listed project contact information is: Acciona Solar Energy LLC, 333 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60606. That is an address for Acciona Energy.
