Davis Lane Solar seeks North Carolina approval for 5-MW project

Davis Lane Solar LLC applied Jan. 14 at the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity on a 5-MW (ac) solar photovoltaic facility in Perquimans County, North Carolina.

The project address is 200 Davis Lane, Edenton. The company plans to sell the electricity to Virginia Electric and Power d/b/a Dominion North Carolina Power under a 15 year Power Purchase Agreement. The expected cost of the proposed facility is $12.5 million. It is projected to come on-line on Nov. 15 of this year.
