Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP announced Jan. 20 that the law firm represented Consolidated Edison Development with its acquisition of Alamo 7, a 106-MW solar project located in Haskell County, Texas, from OCI Solar Power, a Texas-based subsidiary of South Korea’s OCI Corp.
As announced on Jan. 11, the sale officially closed for $227 million, said the law firm. The Alamo 7 project is expected to be completed during the third quarter of 2016 and will sell 100% of the output of the facility to CPS Energy under a long-term power purchase agreement.
The Sutherland team representing ConEdison Development was led by Partner and Head of the firm’s Renewable Energy team Dorothy Black Franzoni, with support from Energy, Environmental and Commodities Associate Jackson M. Allen.
