Talen lands electric supply contracts for defense facilities in Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C.

A Talen Energy (NYSE:TLN) company, Talen Energy Marketing, has been awarded contracts by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to provide electricity supply to federal government facilities in Pennsylvania and District of Columbia.

Under the new contract, Talen Energy will provide more than 240 million kilowatt-hours of competitively priced electricity supply to the U.S. Naval Observatory, Washington Navy Yard and Joint base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C. and Naval Support Activity in Philadelphia.

Talen Energy, a Pennsylvania-based company, announced the award on Dec. 21.

In August, Talen had been awarded contracts by DLA to provide electricity supply to federal government facilities in New Jersey and Maryland and District of Columbia.
