PJM revises wholesale deal for 20-MW, gas-fired project in Pennsylvania

PJM Interconnection filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Dec. 21 an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement with Amity Energy LLC and transmission owner West Penn Power.

“PJM is submitting this WMPA for filing because Amity intends to engage in wholesale sales in the PJM markets from a generating facility connected to West Penn’s distribution facilities,” said the filing.

The Amity WMPA supersedes a prior agreement from earlier this year entered into among PJM, IMG Development LLC and West Penn. IMG Development assigned its project to Amity.

This project is under PJM Queue Position #Z2-106. It is the Amity Generation Facility, to be located at 496 Mankey Road, Amwell Township, Washington County, Pa. The Maximum Facility Output will be 19.9 MW. It consists of five 4-MW natural gas-fired reciprocating engine generator sets connected to a common bus.

The old agreement called for a commercial operation date on or before July 1, 2016, while the new one establishes a June 30, 2017, commercial operation target.

The contact information is: Amity Energy LLC c/o IMG Midstream LLC, 6051 Wallace Rd Ext, Wexford, PA 15090.
