PJM ends wholesale deal for 17-MW Kingwood Solar project in New Jersey

PJM Interconnection on Dec. 21 notified the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission of the cancellation of a Wholesale Market Participation Agreement dating back to 2012 with Kingwood Solar W2-083 LLC and interconnecting transmission owner Jersey Central Power & Light.

“The Kingwood Solar WMPA is being cancelled because Kingwood Solar has decided not to move forward with its project and will not participate in PJM’s markets,” PJM wrote.

The agreement covered the 17-MW Perottti Solar Farm, to have been located at Kingwood, New Jersey. It had PJM Queue Position #W2-083. It was to be commercially operating by June 30, 2014.
