Interconnect filed for 188-MW Grandview III wind project in Texas

Sharyland Utilities LP on Dec. 10 filed with the Public Utility Commission of Texas a Generation Interconnection Agreement with EC&R Development LLC for the Grandview Phase III Wind Farm.

As the project’s name implies, there have been two prior phases of this wind farm development, held by Grandview Wind Farm LLC and Colbeck’s Corner LLC/Grandview Wind Farm II LLC.

This third phase is due for commercial operation around Oct. 1, 2016. The project’s point of interconnection is in Carson County, Texas. This third phase is a 187.5-MW facility, made up of 125 General Electric wind turbines at 1.5 MW each.
