Shared facilities deal filed for Parrey (102 MW) and Java (13.5 MW) solar projects

Parrey LLC and Java Solar LLC filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Nov. 12 the Henrietta Shared Facilities Agreement No. 1, which sets forth the terms and conditions under which they will jointly own undivided tenancy in common interests in certain transmission facilities in California that will serve their respective solar projects.

Parrey was formed for the purpose of developing, constructing, owning, and operating the Parrey Solar Project, an approximately 102-MW (nameplate) photovoltaic facility to be located in Kings County, California. Parrey has self-certified its status as an exempt wholesale generator (EWG) and is not currently engaged in any business activities other than those associated with the development, construction, ownership, and future operation of the Parrey Solar Project. Notable is that the EWG filing for this project called it the Henrietta Solar Project.

Parrey has executed a Large Generator Interconnection Agreement with the California Independent System Operator and Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E).

Java was formed for the purpose of developing, constructing, owning, and operating the Java Solar Project, an approximately 13.5-MW (net) photovoltaic facility and related interconnection facilities to be located in Kings County, California. Java has not yet self-certified the Java Solar Project as a qualifying facility (QF), but plans to do so at the appropriate time in its development process.

Java currently is not engaged in any business activities other than those associated with the development, construction, ownership, and future operation of the Java Solar Project. Java intends to execute a Small Generator Interconnection Agreement with the CAISO and PG&E.

The agreement was signed by Ty Daul as President of Parrey LLC, and Natalie Jackson as a Vice President representing Java Solar and SunPower AssetCo LLC.
