PJM files wholesale deal for small solar project in Maryland of SGC Power

PJM Interconnection on Nov. 12 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement (WMPA) with SGC Power LLC and interconnecting transmission owner Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) for a small solar photovoltaic project.

“PJM is submitting the SGC Power WMPA for filing because SGC Power intends to engage in wholesale sales in the PJM markets from a generating facility connected to BGE’s distribution facilities,” said PJM.

The WMPA facilitates the generator’s participation in PJM’s organized wholesale markets via wholesale sales from the 1.1-MW Kingsville Solar facility, to be located in Bel Air, Maryland. The project’s street address is 1121 Pfeffers Road.

Under this agreement, by May 1, 2016, SGC Power must demonstrate commercial operation of all generating units.

A project contact is: SGC Power LLC, 5316 Lynn Lane, Ellicot City, MD 21043, Attn: Richard Gilker.
