PJM works out wholesale deal for 20-MW project of IMG Development

PJM Interconnection on Oct. 5 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement with IMG Development LLC and transmission owner Pennsylvania Electric (Penelec) for a 19.9-MW power project.

“PJM is submitting this Agreement for filing because IMG intends to engage in wholesale sales in the PJM markets from a generating facility connected to Penelec’s distribution facilities,” said PJM.

The agreement covers the Hop Bottom Generating Station, to be located at Glenwood Road and Bennett Road in Lenox Township, Pennsylvania. The Maximum Facility Output is 19.9 MW. The plant would consist of five natural gas-fired generators connected to a single 13.8-kV bus and a 13/34.5-kV step up transformer.

Under this agreement, on or before March 31, 2017, IMG must demonstrate commercial operation of all generating units.

Project contact information in the WMPA is: IMG Development LLC, 301 Oxford Valley Road, Suite 1603-A, Yardley, PA 19067.
