PJM terminates wholesale deal for 2-MW West Amwell solar project

PJM Interconnection on Oct. 22 notified the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission of the cancellation of an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement from 2012 with Green Power West Amwell LLC and interconnecting transmission owner Jersey Central Power & Light.

“The WMPA is being cancelled because the Wholesale Market Participant has decided not to move forward with its interconnection project and will not participate in PJM’s markets,” PJM noted.

The agreement covered the 2-MW Green Power West Amwell Solar Farm, to have been located at 1465 Route 179, West Amwell, New Jersey. This was a solar photovoltaic project that have been connected to 500 kW inverters and 200 V/34.5 kV step-up transformers. By Dec. 31, 2014, was supposed to have demonstrated commercial operation of all generating units.
