82-MW wind project advances in the PJM queue system

PJM Interconnection has released a System Impact Study, dated September 2015, that covers work that it and FirstEnergy Service Co. on behalf of West Penn Power have done on an interconnection request from EC&R Development LLC for a 10.66 MW Capacity/82 MW Energy Generation facility to the West Penn Power system.

This project is under PJM queue #AA1-085, EC&R Development has proposed a commercial operation date of Oct. 1, 2017, for this facility, to be made up of 41 wind turbines with 2 MW of capacity each. The wind farm would be located on property adjacent to the Milesburg-Moshannon 230-kV line. The project will be accomplished by building a new 230-kV ring bus on the Milesburg–Moshannon line.

This study is a mid-point in a PJM queue system that ultimately results in the signing of an Interconnection Service Agreement.
