PJM drops wholesale deal for 17-MW Mount Olive Solar project in New Jersey

PJM Interconnection on Sept. 25 notified the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission of the cancellation of an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement with Syncarpha Mount Olive LLC and transmission owner Jersey Central Power & Light for a 17-MW solar project.

“The Syncarpha WMPA is being cancelled because Syncarpha has decided not to move forward with its project and will not participate in PJM’s markets,” said the notice.

The agreement has covered the Mount Olive Solar Farm in Budd Lake, New Jersey. This was to be a 17-MW, ground-mounted, inverter-based solar photovoltaic facility consisting of solar arrays and a 34-kV collector system.
