Idaho Power applied Sept. 8 to the Idaho Public Utilities Commission for approval under the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978 (PURPA) of an Energy Sales Agreement (ESA) with North Gooding Main Hydro LLC (NGMH), under which NGMH would sell and ldaho Power would purchase electric energy generated by the 1.3-MW North Gooding Main Hydro Project located near Gooding, Idaho.
The ESA is a new contract for a Qualifying Facility (QF) for a term of 20 years. The ESA, dated July 29, was signed by NGMH on July 23 and by ldaho Power on July 29.
NGMH proposes to operate and maintain a 1.3 MW (Maximum Capacity Amount) Seasonal Hydro energy facility to be located near Gooding, ldaho. NGMH has selected April 1, 2017, as the Scheduled Operation Date for the project.
