The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Sept. 22 accepted a July 29 filing by the Midcontinent Independent System Operator of an Amended and Restated Generator Interconnection Agreement with Black Oak Wind LLC and transmission owner Northern States Power that pushes back by a few months the commercial operation target date for Black Oak Wind’s 78-MW project in Minnesota.
In September 2014, MISO filed the original interconnection agreement for this project, with the July 29 filing being the third revision. Under the latest revision, the new commercial operation date is pushed back from a prior Dec. 15, 2015, to a current July 1, 2016.
Black Oak Wind plans a 78-MW wind farm composed of 39 Vestas V110-2.0 wind turbine generators, nominally rated at 2 MW each. This project is a combination of two prior queue numbers (G858 and H071) issued by MISO.
